Laios might have forgotten their plans to find the wasp, but Kabru takes everything seriously, so he scheduled it into his day. ]

[ It takes him a while to get around to this. It's not that he's forgotten about it, exactly... But he doesn't know how to approach it. He's not a god that apologizes, even if he's at fault, and it's as simple (stupid) as that. He's a god of conflict, after all, so if someone is pissed off at him? Good! All is well in the world!

But he still feels bothered about how things had gone with Laios all the same. Maybe it's the fact that Laios had come with a kind gesture. Maybe it had been the earnest embarrassment at how casually Set had revealed his secret desires. Or maybe it's just Tezcatlipoca, strange, fickle god that he is, thinking that if someone is going to dislike him, he needs to earn that fair and square rather than it being mind-control.

[ On Christmas, Laios will find a small, simply wrapped package waiting for him. There's no indication of who it's from on the outside, but there's no question once it's unwrapped. It's a book in the style of Dragonology, so maybe it's not quite in his age range, but the content and illustrations definitely make up for it. It's A Guide to Monsters of the Aztecs, and it's definitely a fun read! But by far, the best part is the illustrations that are a bit abstrast, but bold and colorful as they evoke the codecies they're inspired by.

On the inner cover is a simple, handwritten note. ]

Easier to have a guide and see them than my explanations. Taste test tbd when we go to Mexico (hopefully).
