It's an artificial bird, so I wonder how well it mimics the real thing. Does it know any tricks? Can it speak?

[ It probably shouldn't come as a surprise that Laios was able to tell right away that it's a robot. Kabru wouldn't have known at all, if he saw this bird on the street. ]

Do ravens typically speak or do tricks? [ He seriously knows nothing about them. ]

Yeah, they do. They're very intelligent by nature, without help from mankind. They have over thirty different vocalizations, and they're very social birds.. They can be seen even playing with one another. One game they like to play is picking up a stick, flying high, and dropping it for another one to catch.

I've always wanted a raven to play with, but teaching dogs tricks is easier than teaching a raven. I think I might get too impatient.

You know so much about animals. You must have spent a lot of time with them growing up.

Well.. people in the village I grew up in didn’t like us very much, so.. becoming friends with animals was easier. Maybe that’s it.

Falin was ostracized by having her unique abilities, so we really just had each other until she went to the academy.

Some people react poorly to others who stand out or are different. Especially in small villages where there isn't much diversity.

Did you both have an easier time getting along with people on the Island?
